Beatriz Moura Lagarto
Licensed clinical counselor (she/her)
More than anything, I aim to offer a safe space where healing can happen at a pace that feels right to you.
My counseling style is collaborative and I see you as the expert. I don’t have the answers, you do! My role is to facilitate mindful exploration that will promote increased awareness, sustainable change and growth.
I offer a balanced and whole-person approach to mental health counseling where we look at the various factors contributing to current challenges. I use a trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive lens and my work reflects a skillful blend of evidence-based modalities, such as ACT and EMDR, and a psychodynamic understanding of human experience. I also value and welcome the mind-body connection in the therapeutic process and like to integrate mindfulness-based practices.
