Olivia Scirocco
Licensed social worker (she/her)
I believe in therapy that is built upon the therapeutic relationship.
My approach to therapy begins by meeting my clients where they are as I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences. I hope to create a nonjudgemental and collaborative space for healing in which my clients feel empowered to use their own strengths throughout the process. I recognize the significance of all parts of therapy; the good, the bad, and the sometimes uncomfortable. When it comes to the uncomfortable parts of therapy, we will work together to navigate these experiences. I enjoy helping clients improve their relationship with themselves as they experience the positive effect this can have in other areas of their life.
TRAINING & EDUCATION
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2022 and Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2023 from The Ohio State University. I have worked with children, adolescents, and young adults in inpatient, outpatient, community, and crisis settings. My experience has taught me that when it comes to therapy, there is never a right way or answer; therapy is not one-size fits all. With this in mind, I use an eclectic approach to therapy.
I specialize in the below modalities:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
Motivational Interviewing
