Emily Holley
LICENSED independent social worker; Supervisor (she/her)
I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy that empowers clients as experts in their own lives.
My first priority is creating a safe and validating environment so that clients can show up authentically, leading to deeper work. My therapeutic style is relaxed and I love to use humor in sessions where appropriate and client-led. I have previous worked in community-based and crisis mental health settings for a cumulative total of 9 years of experience. I specialize in working with clients who have experienced complex trauma in addition to treating depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and bipolar disorders.
I have a particular interest in treating the effects of Religious Trauma Syndrome and those affected by spiritual abuse. If you feel you have been left hurt and confused after leaving a controlling religious organization, allow me to create a safe place to share your story. I am not a faith-based therapist and am happy to welcome clients in all stages of the questioning and deconstructing process.
I have recently enjoyed working with peri- and postpartum mental health, including birth trauma, and find supporting new parents in every stage of their journey to be important and meaningful work.
